Kealkill NS Reaches the Finals of the National ‘Song for ’16’ Competition

The pupils of Kealkill National School have qualified for the final of ‘Song for ’16’, a national song-writing competition to be held in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, on May 15th.

‘Song for ’16’ is an all-island schools song competition presented by the National Concert Hall, Disney Music Group and the Department of Education and Skills. It forms part of the National Concert Hall’s 2016 Centenary Programme.

Kealkill NS is just one of 7 schools to reach the finals of the competition, and whatever the outcome on May 15th, the whole process of planning, writing, and performing the song has been a wonderful experience for our school community!
